Hair loss and thinning hair are common problems across all genders and can appear in many different ways, depending on what’s causing it. Our stellar team at Estrella Aesthetics is treating hair loss with PRP injections* which is a non-surgical therapy for hair rejuvenation by enabling growth factors to help regrow thinning hair. Highly concentrated growth factors in the form of platelets have been shown to stimulate new hair growth, thicken thinned out hair, and make hair transplants grow thicker and healthier,” states Judi Castro, RN, MEP-C, CAC

Promising results from research on PRP and hair loss
People typically lose 50 to 100 hairs a day. This usually isn’t noticeable because new hair is growing in at the same time.
PRP is a treatment that we are already using to accelerate healing in various areas of the body. It can also help restore hair growth,” states Judi Castro, RN, MEP-C, CAC
Is PRP for hair loss permanent?
PRP treatments can enhance hair restoration and other cosmetic plastic surgery procedures. The results of PRP treatment are most noticeable after at least six months, and are not permanent. For many of our patients, we recommend touch-up injections at least once a year.
How long does it take for PRP to work for hair?
On average, most of our patients will require their repeat PRP treatment after 6-12 months in order to maintain the hair growth effects.
How much does PRP for hair loss cost?
PRP therapy typically consists of three treatments in a 4–6 week period, with maintenance treatments every 4–6 months. Please DM us for pricing, so we can plan a treatment plan that works for you.
